Dredging rubber hose sections with steel flanges

Dredging Rubber Hose

Discharge, suction, floating, armored and jetting hose, plus expansion joints. ID 100-1300 mm.

What this group covers

Every flexible section of a dredging line comes from this group: the discharge hose taking spoil away from the pump, the suction hose on the drag arm or cutter ladder that must not collapse under vacuum, the floating hose that carries the line across open water without pontoons, the armored versions for coral and weathered rock, the jetting hose on the drag head, and the short expansion joint that connects the pump to fixed pipework.

Selection guide

How to choose within this group

1

Work out which side of the pump the section sits on. Suction side needs collapse resistance from -0.1 MPa vacuum; discharge side needs pressure capability to 4.2 MPa. They are not interchangeable.

2

Then look at the material being moved. Sand, silt and clay run on standard lining. Coral reef, weathered rock and angular high-hardness particles need the armored construction with HB 450+ embedded steel rings.

3

Decide whether the section must float on its own. A floating rubber hose has a buoyant interlayer built into the wall and needs no external floats; everything else needs PE floats or pontoons to run overwater.

4

Last, choose the flange. Steel flange gives a hard machined sealing face for lines broken down often; sandwich flange rubber lines the wetted joint surfaces.

Send us the duty and we will specify the section

Bore size alone is not enough to select from this group. Tell us the position on the line, the material and the flange standard.
