The big movable fan is the larger drum format with a 1 m to 2 m blade and up to 28 m of throw, for covering a long bay. The industrial stand fan adds 45 degree tilt across three sizes, which is what you want on a court or over a vehicle lift.
Yes. Both are specified for industrial environments at IP55 with IP66 controllers, and the big movable fan is explicitly rated outdoor, waterproof and portable.
Per square metre covered, a ceiling fan is cheaper to run because one unit covers far more floor. Portable fans win where a ceiling fan cannot be installed or where only one area needs treating.
The aerodynamic wing design forms a circulating flow field rather than a directed jet, and the speed is adjustable from 1 m/s. Most draught complaints come from running a fan faster than the job needs.
