High Temperature Axial Fans for Drying and Hazardous Areas

Four ranges rated for 130 C, 98 percent humidity, and in the CBF case for Zone 1 and Zone 2.

High Temperature Axial Fan Products

Four related ranges built around one idea: in a drying kiln or a hazardous area, the fan fails at the motor. Every fan in this category uses an all-copper H class 180 C motor with modified polyester imide enamelled wire, an aluminium alloy shell, stainless steel and copper fasteners and Japanese high-temperature grease, because those are the parts that decide whether the fan survives the season.

The Problem

What Buyers Are Actually Trying to Fix

The applied conditions across this category are a maximum ambient of 130 C and a maximum relative humidity of 98 percent, in acid-deficient or mildly alkaline steam environments without combustible gas. Ordinary axial fans are not built for any of that, which is why they become a consumable in kiln service. Where combustible gas is present, the CBF explosion-proof range with ExdIIBT4 marking is the only appropriate product.

Who this range is for

  • Timber drying kiln operators and kiln builders
  • Grain dryer manufacturers and agricultural processors
  • Paint lines, tobacco processing, rubber and pharmaceutical production
  • Refineries, chemical plants, laboratories and medical facilities needing certified ventilation
  • OEMs integrating fans into drying equipment as a build item

Typical application scenarios

  • Timber drying kilns running reversible cycles
  • Grain dryers at 15 T and 30 T scale
  • Painting, tobacco, rubber and pharmaceutical drying, warehouses and basements
  • Zone 1 and Zone 2 hazardous areas in petroleum, chemical and medical facilities
Every figure on the product pages in this range comes from our own specification. Where a number depends on the diameter or the duty it is written as TBC and confirmed at quotation.
Core Advantages

Why This Range Is Built the Way It Is

1

H class 180 C all-copper motor

Designed by advanced thermodynamic analysis so electromagnetic loading falls while efficiency rises, resistant to ageing and burnout in high-temperature and high-humidity vapour.

2

Externally lubricated bearing structure

The motor uses an external structure injected with lubricating oil, which extends bearing life and avoids dismantling the motor for lubrication.

3

Four mounting types on the main ranges

Wall, pipeline, fixed and square, so the fan fits the opening you already have rather than the opening being rebuilt.

4

One HS code across the category

8414599099, which keeps a mixed shipment of kiln, grain and explosion-proof fans straightforward to declare.

Questions

Questions About High Temperature Axial Fans

GKF GKT for general drying across eleven diameters and four mounting types. GKW GWF for timber kilns, in full aluminium wall type. CRF for grain dryers, where the diagonal flow design gives higher pressure than an axial fan. CBF wherever combustible gas is present.

130 C maximum ambient and 98 percent maximum relative humidity, with dust and hard particles not exceeding 150 mg/m3 in the carried gas. A customised high-temperature build is available where a duty sits outside that.

Only the CBF range. The others are explicitly specified for environments without combustible gas. CBF carries ExdIIBT4 marking against GB3836.2 and IEC 60079 for Zone 1 and Zone 2, gas groups IIA and IIB, temperature group T4.

Single phase 220 V, and three phase 220 / 380 / 660 V, 230 / 400 / 690 V or 240 / 415 V, at 50 or 60 Hz. The motor is wound for your supply.

Yes. The angle is adjusted to the client requirement at the factory, and arc or right-angle blade profiles are both available with 4 to 8 blades depending on diameter and duty.
