The WA6662A3 is a two inch plastic AODD pump in the WA Series, built for handling aggressive fluids where metal would corrode. It moves up to 145 GPM, which is 548.8 LPM, at 120 psi or 8.3 bar, lifts 4.27 m dry, and passes suspended solids to 6.4 mm. The thick-walled polypropylene fluid casings resist acids, alkalis, and solvents, while the aluminum or cast iron center body adds structural strength. It runs dry and dead heads without damage, and the bolted construction ensures leak-free fluid handling.
| Maximum flow rate | 145GPM(548.8LPM) |
|---|---|
| Maximum operating pressure | 120psi(8.3bar) |
| Suspended solids max diameter | 1/4"(6.4mm) |
| Fluid inlet | 2" ANSI/DIN Flange |
| Fluid outlet | 2" ANSI/DIN Flange |
The WA Series plastic pump trades flow and weight for chemical resistance and cost in a way the metallic versions do not.
The pump does not need a coating or liner, so there is no risk of delamination or flaking over time.
This makes it easier to move between stations, especially in maintenance or cleaning duties.
It requires no protective coatings or sacrificial anodes, reducing long-term ownership cost.
This design prevents leaks and makes the pump suitable for containment-critical or hygiene-sensitive applications.
This reduces downtime during repairs and allows quick replacement of wear parts.
This reduces installation time and avoids the need for custom spools.
The 2 inch plastic pump is chosen when the fluid is chemically aggressive and the plant needs a durable, low-maintenance transfer solution.
Every enquiry for this model starts with a pump that failed at one of these five things.
The pump handles aggressive fluids with no risk of contamination or corrosion, and the 4.27 m dry lift allows it to draw from low tanks.
It circulates cleaning solutions through a system without introducing metal ions, and runs dry safely during rinse cycles.
It moves corrosive waste from a sump to a holding tank without degrading, and can be dead headed during valve closure.
The pump handles small batches of reactive chemicals with no risk of metal leaching, and the bolted design allows inspection.
The WA Series uses a separate platform from DP3X, with its own air distribution system and mechanical design.
The major air valve is shifted by a mechanical pin and pneumatically by compressed air, which ensures a fast, positive changeover.
Both the major and pilot air valves use ceramic dynamic seals, which resist wear and tolerate dirty air supplies.
No oiler is fitted to the air inlet. The system runs without lubrication, so there is no oil mist in the exhaust.
The built in vacuum chamber reduces discharge air pressure, which lowers the cooling effect and reduces exhaust noise.
Port positions and flange spacing match standard ANSI/DIN 2 inch flanges, so it fits into existing pipework.
The model code allows selection of diaphragm, ball check, seat, and fluid cap materials to match the fluid chemistry.

Performance figures are transcribed from the Nuodean data sheet for this pump. Flow is measured at the pump discharge with water at ambient temperature; your duty point depends on air supply pressure, suction conditions, fluid viscosity and discharge head. Ask our engineers to confirm the duty point before you order.
Where this pump wins and where you should be buying something else.
| Versus the 2 inch aluminum version | The aluminum pump gives 172 GPM and weighs 29.6 kg, but it cannot handle strong acids or alkalis. Choose the plastic pump when the fluid chemistry attacks metal. |
|---|---|
| Versus the 2 inch stainless steel version | The stainless pump handles abrasives and high pressure better, but the plastic version resists corrosion from acids and solvents that destroy stainless steel. |
| Versus the 2 inch polypropylene pump in the DP3X series | The DP3X plastic pump is not available in 2 inch. The WA Series is the only plastic option in this size for this platform. |
| Versus the 1-1/2 inch WA plastic pump | The 1-1/2 inch model gives 100 GPM, which is less than half the flow. Step up to 2 inch only when 548.8 LPM is needed. |
| Versus the 2 inch non-metallic pump in the DP3X series | The DP3X plastic pump is not available in 2 inch. The WA Series is the only plastic option in this size for this platform. |
| Versus the 2 inch cast iron pump | The cast iron pump is heavier and more expensive, but it handles abrasive slurries better. Choose plastic when the fluid is corrosive, not abrasive. |
Five things that decide whether this pump does 548.8 LPM or half of it.
Flow depends on air pressure and volume. Use a 1/2 inch air line, keep the hose short, and confirm the compressor can hold 70 psi at the required flow.
Throttling the suction causes cavitation, which damages diaphragms and reduces flow. Use the full 2 inch flange inlet.
The diaphragm and ball check materials must resist the fluid. PTFE with Santoprene backing for acids, Viton for hot oils, Santoprene for general use.
The 4.27 m dry lift is the maximum. Priming from a flooded suction is easier and more reliable, so position the pump below the fluid source when possible.
Order the air section kit WA637118-C and the fluid section kit WA637165-XX-C, coded for your diaphragm and ball material. These cover the most common wear parts.

145 GPM, which is 548.8 LPM, is the maximum with a free discharge and full air supply. Real duty points are lower. Send us the discharge head and the air pressure you can hold and we will tell you where on the curve you land.
Yes. An air operated double diaphragm pump can be run dry and can be dead headed against a closed valve without damage. That is the main reason plants choose one over a centrifugal pump.
1/4 inch, which is 6.4 mm, on the suspended solids figure from the data sheet. If your fluid carries bigger solids, look at the 3 inch models at 9.5 mm or the heavy duty flap valve pump at 50 mm.
Usually yes. The WA Series pumps are built so that installation dimensions and footprint are compatible with other brands. Send a photo of the nameplate and the pipework and we will confirm before you buy.
PTFE with a Santoprene backing for aggressive solvents and acids, Santoprene for general duty and long flex life, Viton for hot oils and aromatics, nitrile for petroleum products. Tell us the fluid and the temperature and we will put the right code on the quotation.
77.7 dB(A) at 70 psi and 60 cycles per minute, as printed on the data sheet. Slower cycling is quieter, and a piped exhaust takes more off.
Fluid inlet and outlet are 2 inch ANSI/DIN flanges. The air inlet is 1/2 inch BSPT female, with 1/2 inch NPT available on request.

Buying GuideSizing an air diaphragm pump from the existing pipe size or the headline maximum flow guarantees poor performance. Here is how to select the right displacement and port size from actual duty conditions.
Material GuideDiaphragm selection is a balance between mechanical flex life and chemical compatibility. Pick the right material to avoid premature failures and process contamination.
