The WA66615X is a 1-1/2 inch metallic AODD pump in the WA Series, built for reliable transfer in chemical, industrial and process environments. It delivers up to 90 GPM, which is 340.7 LPM, at 120 psi or 8.3 bar, lifts 5.8 m dry, and passes suspended solids to 6.4 mm. The pump is available in aluminum, cast iron or 316 stainless steel, so it matches the fluid and environment. The air motor is stall free, so it starts under load and does not hang at mid stroke.
| Maximum flow rate | 90GPM(340.7LPM) |
|---|---|
| Maximum operating pressure | 120psi(8.3bar) |
| Suspended solids max diameter | 1/4"(6.4mm) |
| Fluid inlet | 1-1/2"BSPT Or 1-1/2"NPT |
| Fluid outlet | 1-1/2"BSPT Or 1-1/2"NPT |
The WA Series is a separate platform from DP3X, with its own design and performance profile.
At 23.4 kg in aluminum, it is lighter than the 2 inch version and fits where larger pumps cannot. The bolted construction keeps the fluid path leak free, and the rugged body handles vibration and shock on a mobile or skid mounted setup.
The air motor shifts the major valve positively, so the pump does not hang at mid stroke when starting under load or when the discharge is blocked.
Fluid caps and ball checks are accessible without removing the entire pump. This reduces downtime during routine checks or part replacements.
Aluminum for general duty, cast iron for abrasion resistance, 316 stainless steel for corrosion and hygiene. The model code sets the wetted materials, so you can match the pump to the fluid.
The air distribution system is self lubricating and lube free, so there is no oil mist in the exhaust and no need to top up a lubricator.
The 1-1/2 inch BSPT or NPT fluid connections and 1/2 inch BSPT air inlet match common pipe sizes, so the pump fits into existing systems without rework.
This pump is chosen when a plant needs a compact, reliable transfer solution for chemicals, oils or abrasive fluids, and wants to keep the weight and footprint low.
Most inquiries for this model come from plants that have a pump failing at one of these five points.
Self priming with 5.8 m of dry suction lift, so it empties a drum or a small tanker from ground level without a foot valve.
Air throttling gives smooth flow control from a trickle to 340.7 LPM, which suits dosing into a mixer or a reactor.
The pump can be dead headed as the cake builds and the pressure rises, then restart when the press is stripped.
One person carries it to the pit, drops the suction hose in and runs it dry at the end without burning anything out.
The WA Series uses a separate platform from DP3X. Its air end design is not the same.
The air motor shifts the major valve positively, so the pump starts under load and does not hang at mid stroke.
The fluid section is bolted together, so there are no welded joints that can crack or leak under vibration.
No lubricator is fitted to the air inlet and none is needed, which removes both a maintenance task and oil mist in the exhaust.
The fluid caps are removable without tools, and the ball checks are accessible from the top, so maintenance is fast.
The center body, fluid caps, manifold, seat, ball check, diaphragm, connection thread and hardware are each set in the model code.
Port positions and overall envelope match common brands, so the base, pipe spools and air line usually stay as they are.

Performance figures are transcribed from the Nuodean data sheet for this pump. Flow is measured at the pump discharge with water at ambient temperature; your duty point depends on air supply pressure, suction conditions, fluid viscosity and discharge head. Ask our engineers to confirm the duty point before you order.
Where this pump wins and where you should be buying something else.
| Versus the 1-1/2 inch plastic pump | The plastic version handles acids and alkalis that would attack aluminum, at 378.5 LPM. Choose plastic when the fluid is corrosive and the flow is the priority. |
|---|---|
| Versus the 1-1/2 inch DP3X aluminum pump | The DP3X model weighs 29.6 kg and delivers 651 LPM. The WA Series is lighter in aluminum at 23.4 kg, but the DP3X gives more flow. Choose DP3X when volume is the main need. |
| Versus the 1 inch WA metallic pump | The 1 inch model gives 133 LPM and weighs 8.6 kg. The 1-1/2 inch model gives 340.7 LPM and is heavier. Choose the 1 inch when space or weight is the main constraint. |
| Versus the 2 inch WA metallic pump | The 2 inch model gives 651 LPM and weighs 29.6 kg. The 1-1/2 inch model gives 340.7 LPM and is lighter. Choose the 2 inch only when 340.7 LPM is not enough. |
| Versus a centrifugal pump | The centrifugal is cheaper to run at a fixed high flow with clean fluid. This pump wins when the tank runs dry, the line blocks, the fluid carries solids or the area cannot take a motor. |
| Versus the 1-1/2 inch flap valve pump | The flap valve model passes 50 mm solids, but the WA Series passes only 6.4 mm. Choose the flap valve when solids are larger than 6.4 mm. |
Five things that decide whether this pump does 340.7 LPM or half of it.
Flow follows air. Use the full 1/2 inch inlet, keep the hose short and confirm the compressor can hold pressure at the flow the pump asks for.
Throttle the discharge or the air, never the suction. Starving the suction is what causes cavitation, hard running and short diaphragm life.
Diaphragm and ball material is chosen in the model code. Get the chemistry right and the pump lasts. Get it wrong and nothing else you do will save it.
The published 5.8 m is a dry lift figure. Priming a flooded suction is always easier, so put the pump below the tank where the layout allows.
One air section kit, WA66615-Air, and one fluid section kit, WA66615-Flu, coded for your diaphragm and ball material. Between them they cover almost every wear part.

90 GPM, which is 340.7 LPM, is the maximum with a free discharge and full air supply. Real duty points are lower. Send us the discharge head and the air pressure you can hold and we will tell you where on the curve you land.
Yes. An air operated double diaphragm pump can be run dry and can be dead headed against a closed valve without damage. That is the main reason plants choose one over a centrifugal pump.
1/4 inch, which is 6.4 mm, on the suspended solids figure from the data sheet. If your fluid carries bigger solids, look at the 3 inch models at 9.5 mm or the heavy duty flap valve pump at 50 mm.
Usually yes. The WA Series pumps are built so that installation dimensions and footprint are compatible with other brands. Send a photo of the nameplate and the pipework and we will confirm before you buy.
PTFE with a Santoprene backing for aggressive solvents and acids, Santoprene for general duty and long flex life, Viton for hot oils and aromatics, nitrile for petroleum products. Tell us the fluid and the temperature and we will put the right code on the quotation.
80.5 dB(A) at 70 psi and 60 cycles per minute, as printed on the data sheet. Slower cycling is quieter, and a piped exhaust takes more off.
Fluid inlet and outlet are 1-1/2 inch BSPT or 1-1/2 inch NPT. The air inlet is 1/2 inch BSPT female, with 1/2 inch NPT available on request.

Buying GuideSizing an air diaphragm pump from the existing pipe size or the headline maximum flow guarantees poor performance. Here is how to select the right displacement and port size from actual duty conditions.
Material GuideDiaphragm selection is a balance between mechanical flex life and chemical compatibility. Pick the right material to avoid premature failures and process contamination.
