The WA6661X is the 1-1/2 inch polypropylene pump in the WA Series, designed for chemical transfer where corrosion resistance matters. It moves up to 100 GPM, which is 378.5 LPM, at up to 120 psi or 8.3 bar, passes suspended solids to 6.4 mm and lifts 4.27 m dry. The thick walled injection molded fluid casings and bolted construction prevent leaks, while the polypropylene body resists acids, alkalis and solvents that attack metals. The air end is lube free and stall free, so it starts under load and runs continuously without maintenance.
| Maximum flow rate | 100GPM(378.5LPM) |
|---|---|
| Maximum operating pressure | 120psi(8.3bar) |
| Suspended solids max diameter | 1/4"(6.4mm) |
| Fluid inlet | 1-1/2" ANSI/DIN Flange |
| Fluid outlet | 1-1/2" ANSI/DIN Flange |
Chemical resistance, leak prevention and low maintenance are the key advantages of this model over metallic versions.
The 378.5 LPM flow is higher than the 1-1/2 inch metallic WA pump at 340.7 LPM, so you get more volume without switching to metal.
This design allows for full inspection of the ball check and diaphragm without disassembling the entire pump.
This is critical in clean rooms, food processing, and areas where oil contamination is a risk.
This allows for quick replacement of elastomers and inspection of the diaphragm without a full teardown.
This makes it easier to handle during installation and maintenance, especially on elevated platforms.
This reduces installation time and eliminates the risk of leaks at threaded joints.
This pump is chosen when the fluid is chemically aggressive and the plant needs a reliable, low maintenance transfer solution.
Most buyers come to this pump because their current system fails at one of these five points.
The pump handles aggressive fluids without corrosion, and the flanged connections allow for quick piping changes between vessels.
It can be run dry and dead headed, so it flushes lines and tanks without damage, even when the fluid is abrasive or corrosive.
It delivers consistent flow to dosing tanks, even when the supply tank runs low, and can be left on for long periods.
The leak-free construction and choice of medical grade Santoprene diaphragm ensure no contamination during batch mixing.
The WA Series uses a separate platform from the DP3X. It is built for chemical resistance and long service life.
The polypropylene fluid casing is bolted to the center section, not glued or welded. This prevents leaks from seal failure and allows for full access.
No lubricator is fitted. The air distribution system is self lubricating, so there is no oil mist and no maintenance task.
The air end shifts cleanly and quickly, so the pump starts under load and does not hang at mid stroke.
1-1/2 inch ANSI/DIN flanges match standard piping, so the pump can be bolted directly into a system without adapters.
The model code allows selection of diaphragm, ball check, seat and hardware materials. This includes Viton, PTFE, Hytrel, Santoprene and medical grade options.
Port positions and mounting flange spacing are compatible with major AODD brands, so the pump fits where the old one sat.

Performance figures are transcribed from the Nuodean data sheet for this pump. Flow is measured at the pump discharge with water at ambient temperature; your duty point depends on air supply pressure, suction conditions, fluid viscosity and discharge head. Ask our engineers to confirm the duty point before you order.
Where this pump wins and where you should be buying something else.
| Versus the 1-1/2 inch metallic WA pump | The metallic version at 23.4 kg (aluminum) or 38.3 kg (stainless steel) is stronger for abrasive slurry, but the polypropylene version at 28.1 kg is lighter and handles corrosive fluids that would eat metal. |
|---|---|
| Versus the 2 inch plastic WA pump | The 2 inch model gives 548.8 LPM, which is more than double the flow, but it weighs 62 lbs and needs a larger air line. Choose the 1-1/2 inch when 378.5 LPM is enough and space or weight is a concern. |
| Versus the 1 inch plastic WA pump | The 1 inch model at 177.9 LPM is smaller and lighter, but the 1-1/2 inch gives 378.5 LPM and handles larger solids. Use the 1 inch only when flow is under 150 LPM and space is tight. |
| Versus the 1-1/2 inch DP3X aluminum pump | The DP3X aluminum pump at 29.6 kg gives 651 LPM, which is more than double the flow. Choose the WA pump only when chemical resistance is needed, not when flow is the priority. |
| Versus a centrifugal pump | The centrifugal is cheaper to run on clean, high flow duty. This pump wins when the fluid carries solids, the tank runs dry, or the area cannot have a motor. |
| Versus a 1-1/2 inch cast iron WA pump | The cast iron version at 36.1 kg is stronger for abrasive slurry. The polypropylene version is the better buy when the fluid is corrosive and weight matters. |
Five things that decide whether this pump does 378.5 LPM or half of it.
Flow follows air. Use a 1/2 inch inlet, keep the hose short, and confirm the compressor can hold pressure at the flow the pump asks for.
Throttle the discharge or the air, never the suction. Starving the suction causes cavitation and shortens diaphragm life.
Diaphragm and ball material is chosen in the model code. Get the chemistry right and the pump lasts. Get it wrong and nothing else you do will save it.
The published 4.27 m is a dry lift figure. Priming a flooded suction is always easier, so place the pump below the fluid level when possible.
Order the WA6661X-Flu50 kit, coded for your diaphragm and ball material. It covers the ball check, seat, diaphragm and gaskets.

100 GPM, which is 378.5 LPM, is the maximum with a free discharge and full air supply. Real duty points are lower. Send us the discharge head and the air pressure you can hold and we will tell you where on the curve you land.
Yes. An air operated double diaphragm pump can be run dry and can be dead headed against a closed valve without damage. That is the main reason plants choose one over a centrifugal pump.
1/4 inch, which is 6.4 mm, on the suspended solids figure from the data sheet. If your fluid carries bigger solids, look at the 3 inch models at 9.5 mm or the heavy duty flap valve pump at 50 mm.
Usually yes. The WA Series pumps are built so that installation dimensions and footprint are compatible with other brands. Send a photo of the nameplate and the pipework and we will confirm before you buy.
PTFE with a Santoprene backing for aggressive solvents and acids, Santoprene for general duty and long flex life, Viton for hot oils and aromatics, nitrile for petroleum products. Tell us the fluid and the temperature and we will put the right code on the quotation.
77.7 dB(A) at 70 psi and 60 cycles per minute, as printed on the data sheet. Slower cycling is quieter, and a piped exhaust takes more off.
Fluid inlet and outlet are 1-1/2 inch ANSI/DIN flanges. The air inlet is 1/2 inch BSPT female, with 1/2 inch NPT available on request.

Buying GuideSizing an air diaphragm pump from the existing pipe size or the headline maximum flow guarantees poor performance. Here is how to select the right displacement and port size from actual duty conditions.
Material GuideDiaphragm selection is a balance between mechanical flex life and chemical compatibility. Pick the right material to avoid premature failures and process contamination.
