The WA6661XX-XXX-C is a 1 inch polypropylene air operated double diaphragm pump in the WA Series. It delivers 47 GPM, which is 177.9 LPM, at 120 psi or 8.3 bar, and can lift 4.6 m dry. The thick walled injection molded fluid casings and bolted construction prevent leaks, while the cast iron or aluminum center section resists mechanical stress. It handles fluids that attack metals, including acids, alkalis, solvents and corrosive liquids, and passes suspended solids up to 3.2 mm. The pump is lube free and stall free, so it starts under load and runs dry without damage.
| Maximum flow rate | 47GPM(177.9LPM) |
|---|---|
| Maximum operating pressure | 120psi(8.3bar) |
| Suspended solids max diameter | 1/8"(3.2mm) |
| Fluid inlet | Rp1", 1"NPT , Or 1" ANSI/DIN Flange |
| Fluid outlet | Rp1", 1"NPT , Or 1" ANSI/DIN Flange |
The WA Series is a separate platform from DP3X. It is built for users who need plastic bodies with robust center sections and bolted fluid ends.
The pump is suitable for waste water treatment, chemical processing, and surface preparation where the fluid is aggressive.
The design allows full access to ball checks and fluid caps for inspection and replacement without disassembling the entire pump.
No oil mist is released into the air, so it is suitable for indoor or enclosed environments.
One person can carry it between tanks, sumps, and transfer points without tools or lifting aids.
It is safe to operate in zones where electrical equipment is restricted.
The pump fits into existing installations with minimal piping changes.
The 1 inch polypropylene WA pump is chosen when the fluid is corrosive and the duty is not too high. It is not the choice for high flow or abrasive slurry.
Most inquiries for this model start with a pump that failed at one of these five points.
Self priming with 4.6 m dry suction lift, so it draws fluid from a tank without a foot valve and moves it to another tank or process unit.
One person carries it to a drum, connects the inlet, and empties the drum without needing a second operator or a trolley.
The pump can be dead headed against a closed valve and restarts when the valve opens, which suits flush cycles and recirculation loops.
It feeds filter presses and dosing tanks with corrosive or abrasive liquids that would damage metal pumps.
The WA Series uses a separate platform from DP3X. The air end is designed for durability and leak prevention.
The fluid casings are bolted together, so there are no welded joints that can crack under thermal or mechanical stress. This improves leak resistance and service life.
The center body is made of cast iron or aluminum, which provides mechanical strength and supports the fluid end under pressure.
No oiler is fitted to the air inlet. The system is self lubricating and does not require maintenance or oiling.
The major air valve is shifted by a pilot signal, which ensures a fast and clean changeover between strokes. This prevents stalling at mid stroke.
The diaphragm and ball check materials are selected in the model code. Options include Viton, PTFE with Santoprene backing, Hytrel, Santoprene, nitrile, and medical grade Santoprene.
Fluid inlets and outlets are available in Rp1, 1 NPT, or 1 ANSI/DIN flange. The air inlet is 1/4 inch BSPT, with 1/4 inch NPT available on request.

Performance figures are transcribed from the Nuodean data sheet for this pump. Flow is measured at the pump discharge with water at ambient temperature; your duty point depends on air supply pressure, suction conditions, fluid viscosity and discharge head. Ask our engineers to confirm the duty point before you order.
Where this pump wins and where you should be buying something else.
| Versus the 1 inch aluminum WA pump | The aluminum version at 8.6 kg is lighter and handles higher flow at 35 GPM. But it fails in acid or alkali. Choose polypropylene when the fluid is corrosive. |
|---|---|
| Versus the 1 inch metallic WA pump | The metallic pump handles higher flow and is stronger for abrasive duty. But it corrodes in acids and alkalis. Choose polypropylene for chemical resistance. |
| Versus the 1-1/2 inch plastic WA pump | The larger pump at 378.5 LPM gives more flow, but weighs 28.1 kg. Choose this 1 inch model when the flow requirement is under 177.9 LPM and weight matters. |
| Versus the 1 inch DP3X aluminum pump | The DP3X model at 651 LPM gives more flow, but it is not plastic. Choose this WA pump when the fluid is corrosive and the flow is under 177.9 LPM. |
| Versus the 1 inch non metallic DP3X pump | The DP3X non metallic version is not in the same series. It is built for different materials and has different performance. The WA Series is the only choice for polypropylene with bolted construction. |
| Versus a centrifugal pump | The centrifugal pump is cheaper to run at a fixed high flow with clean fluid. This pump wins when the tank runs dry, the line blocks, the fluid carries solids, or the area cannot take a motor. |
Five things that decide whether this pump does 177.9 LPM or less.
Flow follows air. Use the full 1/4 inch inlet, keep the hose short, and confirm the compressor can hold pressure at the flow the pump asks for.
Throttle the discharge or the air, never the suction. Starving the suction causes cavitation and shortens diaphragm life.
The diaphragm and ball material are chosen in the model code. Get the chemistry right and the pump lasts. Get it wrong and nothing else you do will save it.
The published 4.6 m is a dry lift figure. Priming a flooded suction is easier, so place the pump below the fluid level where possible.
Order the fluid section repair kit, WA6661XX-XXX-C-Flu, coded for your diaphragm and ball material. It covers the most common wear parts.

47 GPM, which is 177.9 LPM, is the maximum with a free discharge and full air supply. Real duty points are lower. Send us the discharge head and the air pressure you can hold and we will tell you where on the curve you land.
Yes. An air operated double diaphragm pump can be run dry and can be dead headed against a closed valve without damage. That is the main reason plants choose one over a centrifugal pump.
1/8 inch, which is 3.2 mm, on the suspended solids figure from the data sheet. If your fluid carries bigger solids, look at the 3 inch models at 9.5 mm or the heavy duty flap valve pump at 50 mm.
Usually yes. The WA Series pumps are built so that installation dimensions and footprint are compatible with other brands. Send a photo of the nameplate and the pipework and we will confirm before you buy.
PTFE with a Santoprene backing for aggressive solvents and acids, Santoprene for general duty and long flex life, Viton for hot oils and aromatics, nitrile for petroleum products. Tell us the fluid and the temperature and we will put the right code on the quotation.
64.5 dB(A) at 70 psi and 60 cycles per minute, as printed on the data sheet. Slower cycling is quieter, and a piped exhaust takes more off.
Fluid inlet and outlet are Rp1, 1 NPT, or 1 ANSI/DIN flange. The air inlet is 1/4 inch BSPT female, with 1/4 inch NPT available on request.
