HOMA-K

Over 40% fluorine content, no chalking or cracking after 800 kWh/m² UV, and a matte finish under 30 GU.

The front film of a lightweight module is the only thing between the cells and twenty-five years of ultraviolet. Get the chemistry wrong and it chalks, hazes and cracks, and the module loses output through a surface problem rather than a cell problem.

HOMA-K is the high-fluorine answer. Over 40% fluorine content carries it past 800 kWh/m² of UV exposure with no chalking or cracking, and a matte surface keeps reflected glare down where modules sit near roads, airports or housing.

Why this one

  • Over 40% fluorine contentMaintains perfect condition without chalking or cracking after 800 kWh/m² UV exposure.
  • Over 91% light transmittanceThe light the film gives away never reaches the cell, so transmittance is a direct yield term.
  • Blocks over 99% of ultraviolet radiationProtects the encapsulant and cells behind it, which is where UV damage actually shows up as yellowing and delamination.
  • Matte surface below 30 GU glossEffectively reduces light pollution — the reason glare complaints stop projects near airports and residential streets.

Questions about PVDF

PVDF or ETFE?

ETFE gives higher transmittance (94%) and a self-cleaning surface. PVDF gives a matte low-gloss finish and over 40% fluorine content. Choose ETFE for maximum yield, PVDF where glare or appearance is a project constraint.

What thicknesses are available?

20–50 µm with a −0/+2 µm tolerance, in widths of 1000–1300 mm and roll lengths of 3000 m, 6000 m or other lengths to order.

How is thickness verified?

Five points are measured across the width of each roll at a 25°C test environment temperature, per the published test method.
