CPC/CDPC sheet, PRG/AGR prepreg and HD-SG strengthened backsheet — the rigidity that glass used to provide.
Take the glass out of a module and something has to carry hail, footfall and wind load without letting the cells flex into micro-cracks. This layer is that something: a transparent structural sheet on the front, an impact-absorbing prepreg against the cells, and a strengthened backsheet up to 1,000 µm thick behind them.
