String inverters make the whole array behave like its worst panel. Microinverters do not: each module runs its own maximum power point, a shaded or failed panel stops costing the array anything, and the roof never carries high-voltage DC. Two platforms are stocked — a residential unit and a three-phase 5,000 W C&I unit.
