Tubesheet
Drilled tube plate up to 5000 mm diameter and 750 mm thick
What Tubesheet Is
The tubesheet is the plate that fixes every tube in a heat exchanger and seals one medium from the other - a fitting that holds the tubes in place by rolling or welding.
Its hole pattern has to match the bundle exactly, which is why buying the plate and the tubes from one source removes a whole class of fit-up problems.
Fanbang machines tubesheets up to 5000 mm outside diameter and 750 mm thick with tube holes up to 120 mm diameter.
Why Engineers Specify It
Very large plate capability
Up to 5000 mm outside diameter and 750 mm thickness in one piece.
Large tube holes
Tube hole diameter up to 120 mm covers heavy process exchangers, not only small bore bundles.
Material matched to the bundle
Carbon steel, stainless, duplex stainless, nickel alloy and copper plates.
Drilled to the bundle we supply
Hole pattern, pitch and grooving are taken from the same drawing as the tubes.
Where It Is Used
- Shell and tube heat exchangers
- Condensers
- Feedwater heaters
- Boilers
- Pressure vessels

Buyers Who Come to Us for This Tube
Pressure vessel fabricators
Plates drilled to the exchanger drawing, ready for tube rolling.
Heat exchanger retubing contractors
Replacement plates that match an existing bundle layout.
EPC project buyers
Tubes and tube plate on one purchase order and one delivery.
What Goes Wrong Without It
Tube and tubesheet arriving from different suppliers
Ordering both from one mill keeps hole pattern and tube outside diameter on the same drawing.
Large diameter plates split into sections
Plates to 5000 mm are machined in one piece.
Mismatched materials at the joint
Plate material is selected to pair with the tube alloy for the service.
Tubesheet Dimensions
These are the ranges our production lines run. Sizes outside them are quoted case by case rather than assumed.

Inspection and Certification
Every tube passes eddy current and hydrostatic testing, with tensile, flattening, flaring, hardness and chemical analysis carried out on our own equipment. Fin pitch, fin height and finned length are verified as dimensional items in their own right.
The company holds ISO 9001:2015, CE certificate, Production licence for pressure pipe.
What Can Be Changed
- Base tube material and wall thickness within the range above
- Fin material, fin pitch and fin height to the bundle design
- Finned length and bare end length for the tubesheet joint
- Marking, packing and certificate scope for the destination market
Compared With the Alternatives
A tubesheet is not an alternative to a tube - it is the other half of the bundle. The decision that matters is material pairing: a duplex tube in a carbon steel plate needs a different joint design from an all-stainless bundle.
Use Guide
- Send the exchanger drawing with hole pattern, pitch, groove detail and plate material.
- State the tube outside diameter and wall so hole diameter and grooving suit rolling or welding.
- For retubing, confirm the existing plate thickness and hole pattern before ordering.
Tubesheet FAQ
What is the largest tubesheet you can machine?
5000 mm outside diameter, up to 750 mm thick.
What tube hole diameters can you drill?
Up to 120 mm.
Which materials do you supply?
Carbon steel, stainless steel, duplex stainless steel, nickel alloy and copper.
Can you supply tubes and tubesheet together?
Yes. Supplying both from one drawing is the usual way we deliver exchanger bundles.
