Automotive Industry

Prototype and short run automotive parts and assemblies, with a particular strength in complex tuning components.

We specialise in the prototype and short run manufacture of parts and assemblies, and we are known for our ability to manufacture complex components for automotive customers, especially in the automotive tuning field.

Tuning work is unforgiving in a useful way: quantities are small, geometry is complex, and the customer notices every surface. Parts that satisfy that audience tend to satisfy production buyers too.

How We Support This Sector

ProcessApplication in Automotive PartsBenefit
CNC MillingEngine components, housings and bracketsComplex geometry with tolerance of +/-0.005 mm
CNC TurningShafts, threaded components and adaptorsConcentricity to +/-0.005 mm and finish to Ra 0.4
CNC MachiningPrecision assemblies and tuning partsMultiple planes machined in one setting on the 4th axis
Metal StampingClips, brackets and repeat volume partsLow piece cost once tooling is amortised

Capability Behind These Parts

Machining Tolerance

0.005 to 0.01 mm with surface roughness below Ra 0.2, verified on the coordinate measuring machine.

Milling and Turning

Milling 2 to 1000 mm diameter and turning 1 to 300 mm bar, both at +/-0.005 mm.

Materials

Aluminum, steel, stainless steel, titanium, brass, copper and engineering plastics.

Inspection

First piece, in-process and final inspection, with certification at every stage on request.

Automotive Industry FAQ

Do you make automotive tuning parts?

Yes, that is one of our strengths. We specialise in prototype and short run manufacture and are known for complex tuning components.

Can you take a part from prototype to production?

Yes. Prototype work runs on the same equipment and under the same inspection as production, so the transition does not change the part.

Which surface treatments suit automotive parts?

Anodizing for aluminum, electroplating and powder coating for steel. We select based on the environment the part works in rather than defaulting to the cheapest.
