What This Product Does Better
It does not turn to pulp when it gets wet
BOPP is a polypropylene film, not paper. Condensation on a chilled bottle, a wipe-down in a kitchen or a rain-soaked outer carton leaves the label intact.
A -40 to +70 degrees C service window
One facestock covers frozen storage and a hot warehouse, so a single material can carry a product through the whole cold chain.
Four glues for four different surfaces
Hot melt for cartons and rough surfaces, acrylic for long-term clarity, removable for promotions and returnable containers, freezer glue for product applied below zero.
Gloss white takes colour cleanly
The white BOPP surface holds CMYK, Pantone and metallic inks without the dot gain of an uncoated paper, which matters when the label is the packaging.

How It Compares With the Alternatives
Compared with a coated paper label, BOPP costs more per square metre but survives water, abrasion and a -40 degrees C to +70 degrees C service range that paper cannot. Compared with PET, BOPP is softer and conforms better to squeezable containers, while PET holds up better against solvents and high heat. Silver and transparent BOPP are available from the same facestock family when the design calls for a no-label look or a metallic finish.
How It Is Made and Checked
Coating, printing, slitting and die-cutting run on more than 30 production lines across two factories, producing around one million square metres of material a week.

Getting It Right on the First Roll
Print BOPP with a resin or high grade wax resin ribbon; a plain wax ribbon will not bond to film.
Choose the glue for the surface: hot melt for corrugated and rough plastics, acrylic for smooth clean surfaces and long service life.
For product filled and labelled below 0 degrees C, specify the freezer adhesive at order stage.
Allow 24 hours after application before testing peel adhesion; the bond continues to build.

Size and shape
Any size, and square, rectangle, round or oval dies. Ribbons are slit from 30 mm to 110 mm and 30 m to 900 m.
Material and adhesive
Paper, BOPP, PET and PE facestocks with hot melt, acrylic, removable or freezer adhesive.

CMYK, Pantone, full colour, transparent, gold and silver, by offset, flexo, screen, digital, inkjet or thermal transfer.

What service temperature does this film hold?
The adhesive is rated for a service temperature of -40 to +70 degrees C, which covers frozen storage through to a hot warehouse or a sun-exposed outer carton.
Can I get it in silver or transparent instead of white?
Yes. The same programme covers white, silver and transparent BOPP, and the equivalent PET and PE films, so a product family can share one adhesive and one die while changing the look.
How long can we store the material before use?
The adhesive is specified for a storage life of three years or more with strong initial tack, so stock bought in bulk can be drawn down over several production runs.
Which printing methods can you use on it?
Colour printing, silk screen, thermal transfer, offset, lithographic, water transfer, digital, inkjet and flexo printing are all available, in CMYK, Pantone, full colour, gold or silver.
Do you supply it blank for us to print ourselves?
Yes. The film is available as a blank die-cut roll, or printed and die-cut to your artwork. Custom sizes in square, rectangle, round and oval shapes are standard.
