A European buyer writes 1.4301. A Japanese drawing says SUS304. A Chinese mill certificate says 06Cr19Ni10. An American specification says UNS S30400. These are the same austenitic grade, but an enquiry that names only one of them can bounce between purchasing and engineering for days before anyone confirms it.

Which of These Grades Yongxin Holds as Standard

The ultra thin stainless steel strip family is produced as standard in SUS304, SUS301, 316L and SUS430, and in other grades when the customer specifies them. Thickness runs from 0.05 mm to 1.0 mm and width from 10 mm to 610 mm, in tempers from ANN through to EH.

How to Use the Table in an Enquiry

1. Find your designation in whichever column matches the standard on your drawing
2. Read across to the JIS or ASTM column, which is what most mill certificates use
3. State both designations in your enquiry, for example 316L / UNS S31603
4. Add the standard you need the mill test certificate issued against
5. Add thickness, width, temper and surface finish and the enquiry is complete
