Quality Control From Incoming Coil to Issued Certificate

Yongxin runs its own testing laboratory rather than sending samples out. Chemistry, hardness, tensile properties, dimensions and corrosion behaviour are all verified inside the plant before a coil is packed.

Release Process

Six Checks Between Feedstock and Container

  1. Incoming Check

    Feedstock is checked against the mill certificate before it enters the line

  2. In Process Control

    Gauge, shape and surface are watched during rolling, annealing and levelling

  3. Sample Approval

    A production sample is sent to the customer and bulk production waits for approval

  4. Laboratory Release

    Chemistry, hardness, tensile properties, dimensions and surface are verified before packing

  5. Certificate Issue

    A mill test certificate is issued against the standard the customer nominated

  6. Packing Check

    Coil weight, inner diameter, wrapping and marking are checked against the order

Chemical Analysis

Chemistry is confirmed against the ordered grade in the plant chemical analysis laboratory before the material is released.

Tensile Testing at the Yongxin Wuxi plant

Tensile Testing

Yield strength, tensile strength and elongation are measured so the forming behaviour matches what was agreed.

Hardness Testing at the Yongxin Wuxi plant

Hardness Testing

Hardness is measured and cross checked against the temper or the hardness values written into the order.

Dimensional Inspection at the Yongxin Wuxi plant

Dimensional Inspection

The optical projector is used for dimensional inspection of strip and formed samples.

Mechanical Testing

The hydraulic press testing machine supports mechanical property testing in the laboratory.

Salt Spray Testing at the Yongxin Wuxi plant

Salt Spray Testing

Corrosion behaviour is tested in the salt spray chamber where the specification calls for it.

What certificates does Yongxin hold
ISO 9001 for quality management, ISO 14001 for environmental management, an energy management system certification, the Jiangsu Province Specialized Refined Unique and Innovative SME certificate and High-Tech Enterprise status.
Do you issue mill test certificates
Yes. Certificates are issued against the standard you nominate, from GB, DIN, BS, JIS or ASTM. Tell us what the certificate must contain when the order is placed.
Is a sample always produced before bulk production
Yes. Yongxin produces a sample against your specification or your control sample chip and sends it for approval before bulk production.
What happens if a delivered coil is out of specification
Send the measured values, the measuring position and photographs. Because every process step is inside one plant, the coil can be traced back through the process record.
Is the production area monitored
Yes. A central monitoring wall carries live camera coverage across the production areas.
