Choice Fruit Alliance Hosts the Sichuan Kiwifruit Association for an Industry Exchange on the Alliance Model

Since its establishment on 30 September 2017, Hebei Choice Fruit Alliance Business Management Co., Ltd. has, through unified management and planning, made full use of the advantages of concentrated fresh pear growing and management in Hebei, raised the influence and competitiveness of its products in international markets and laid a solid foundation for building an international fresh pear brand.

To exchange industry experience with the Alliance and explore alliance operating models together, and with introductions from Guo Qiang, Deputy Director of the Animal and Plant Quarantine Supervision Division of the Hebei Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, and Chen Lina, Vice Mayor of Dujiangyan City in Sichuan, a delegation of eight including He Shuqun, Deputy Director of the Dujiangyan Agriculture and Forestry Bureau, and Yan Zhiqiang, President of the Sichuan Kiwifruit Association, arrived in Hebei on 27 March for a three-day exchange and study visit. The visit was intended both to share operating experience of industry alliances and to exchange experience on developing international markets.

On the morning of 28 March the Sichuan Kiwifruit Association delegation, led by Bian Qinggang, Vice President of the Pear Branch of the China Inspection and Quarantine Association and Chairman of the Alliance, and Wu Yaqiong, General Manager of the Alliance, visited the Xinji fresh pear export quality and safety demonstration zone and Alliance member Xinji Yulong Fresh-Keeping Food Co., Ltd.

Lu Runhang, Deputy Director of the Xinji Forestry Bureau, Wang Xiaoyu, General Manager of Xinji Yulong Fresh-Keeping Food Co., Ltd., and the Alliance management team held a friendly exchange with the Sichuan Kiwifruit Association on demonstration zone management and the alliance operating model.

On 29 March the delegation visited the Zhoujiazhuang orchard in Jinzhou and held a discussion with the orchard's management team on orchard management.

Over the three-day exchange the Alliance and the Sichuan Kiwifruit Association delegation discussed the development difficulties currently facing both the kiwifruit and the fresh pear industries, the Alliance's operating model and its progress to date. The Alliance and the Sichuan Kiwifruit Association will continue to exchange and learn from one another in order to build China's own internationally known fruit brands.
