Use Guide
- Mount the sensor clear of walls and roof edges, ideally 2m above the nearest obstruction
- Ensure the solar panel faces south (in the northern hemisphere) or north (in the southern hemisphere) for maximum exposure
- Use lithium cells in environments that drop below freezing to maintain performance
- Pair the sensor with the console before mounting it on the mast
- Check the battery compartment and clear debris at the start of each season

What is the real range between the sensor and the console
100m in open air. Through walls, foliage and a roof, plan for around 30m, which covers a typical house and garden.
How often does it update
Every 16 seconds, which is short enough that temperature changes show up rather than being averaged out.
Does the solar panel charge the batteries
No. The panel supplies the sensor during daylight and the AAA cells carry it through the night and dull weather, so cell life is much longer than a battery-only sensor.
Can it work with a console we already sell
If that console is on the UCTECH 433MHz protocol, yes. Send us the model and we will confirm before you order.
What is the lead time and minimum order
