Product Overview

What This Model Is For

The FT019T is a wired outdoor weather sensor that measures temperature, humidity, rainfall, wind speed, wind direction, sunlight index and UV index, then transmits data to a console via a 433MHz RF link or a UART serial output. It is designed for integration into fixed installations where cable routing is feasible, and shares the same sensor suite and protocol as UCTECH's wireless range, allowing a brand to mix wired and wireless units in one system. The sensor uses three AA batteries as backup power, with solar assist to extend cell life during daylight hours.

  • Wired connection eliminates battery replacement and RF range limits
  • 433MHz RF or UART output allows integration with custom control systems
  • Full sensor suite in one unit: temperature, humidity, rain, wind, sunlight and UV
  • 16 second transmission interval ensures timely data without averaging
  • Shared protocol with wireless sensors allows mixed wired and wireless deployments
Application Scenarios

Where It Is Used

  • Agricultural monitoring stations where power and cabling are available but wireless range is unreliable
  • Industrial sites with existing RS485 or UART infrastructure needing weather data
  • Schools and public buildings with fixed mast installations and no battery access
  • Cold chain monitoring in warehouses where battery performance drops in low temperatures
  • Horticultural greenhouses requiring precise UV and sunlight tracking for plant growth
Buyers

Who It Is For

  • Brands integrating weather data into a fixed control system with cabling access
  • Integrators replacing a wireless sensor that fails due to battery drain or RF dropouts
  • Agricultural suppliers bundling sensors with irrigation or climate control systems
  • HVAC and building services engineers needing reliable weather inputs for automation
  • Marine and pool operators with permanent installations where battery access is difficult
Pain Points

Problems It Solves

  • Wireless sensors that fail after one season due to battery drain in high-use environments
  • RF links that drop out across a site where cabling is not an option
  • Systems that require data at 16-second intervals but average readings into unusable averages
  • Sensors that lack UART output and cannot interface with legacy control hardware
  • Projects needing a full weather suite but facing cost and complexity from multiple separate units

Build

Materials and Construction

  • Moulded plastic housing for the sensor body
  • Integrated solar panel on the sensor top
  • Weather sealed battery compartment sized for 3 x AA cells
Manufacturing

How It Is Made

Step 01

Sensor sub-assemblies are populated and soldered on our own assembly line

Step 02

Cup and vane sets are balanced before the head is closed

Step 03

Housings are sealed and checked on rainfall and waterproof test equipment

Step 04

Every unit is ageing tested before it leaves the factory

Testing

Quality Control

  • Rainfall and waterproof testing on the assembled sensor
  • Constant temperature and humidity chamber runs covering the -40 to +60 degrees C claim
  • Vibration testing to reproduce mast and transport loading
  • Smog ageing to check the housing and seals
  • Final ageing test on every unit before packing
Own Label

Customisation Options

  • Own-label printing and retail packaging
  • UART output configuration for specific control systems
  • Alternative battery and solar configurations on request
  • Manual and quick start guide in the destination language
Honest Comparison

Compared With the Alternatives

vs Wireless sensors like the FT009TW

Wired eliminates battery replacement and RF range limits, but requires cable routing

vs Battery-only wireless sensors

Wired avoids the need for periodic battery changes, especially in high-use or remote locations

vs LoRa sensors in the FT0310 and FT0832 range

Wired offers a simpler, lower-cost solution where cabling is available; LoRa is better for long-range wireless

Installation

Use Guide

  • Route the cable from the sensor to the console through a protected conduit or conduit run
  • Ensure the sensor is mounted clear of obstructions and at least 2m above ground level
  • Align the direction marking to true north before securing the mast clamp
  • Use lithium AA cells in sites that drop below freezing to maintain performance
  • Test the UART output with a terminal program before final installation

FT019T Wired Weather Station Sensor Questions

What is the real range between the sensor and the console

100m in open air. Through walls, foliage and a roof, plan for around 30m, which covers a typical house and garden.

How often does it update

Every 16 seconds, which is short enough that gusts show up rather than being averaged out.

Does the solar panel charge the batteries

No. The panel supplies the sensor during daylight and the AA cells carry it through the night and dull weather, so cell life is much longer than a battery-only sensor.

Can it work with a console we already sell

If that console supports the UCTECH 433MHz protocol or UART input, yes. Send us the model and we will confirm before you order.

What is the lead time and minimum order

Tell us the quantity and target ship date and we will confirm both by email. Lead time depends on whether own-label printing and packaging are involved.

Which certifications does it carry

TBC. Ask us for the current certificate set for your destination market before you place the order.
