FT020T Weather Station Sensor-No UV
The FT020T is a complete outdoor weather sensor that measures temperature, humidity, rain, wind speed and wind direction, then transmits all data every 16 seconds over a 433MHz link. It is designed to work with UCTECH's existing console systems, so a brand can add a full weather

What This Model Is For
The FT020T is a complete outdoor weather sensor that measures temperature, humidity, rain, wind speed and wind direction, then transmits all data every 16 seconds over a 433MHz link. It is designed to work with UCTECH's existing console systems, so a brand can add a full weather station without developing a new RF or firmware stack. The sensor uses three AA batteries and includes a solar assist to extend battery life in sunny conditions.
- All weather parameters measured on one unit: temperature, humidity, rain, wind speed and direction
- 16 second transmission interval preserves gust data and avoids averaging
- 433MHz link reaches 100m in open air, suitable for most residential and small commercial sites
- Solar assist reduces battery drain, extending service life in sunny climates
- Shares the UCTECH console protocol, so it integrates into existing product lines
Where It Is Used
- Rooftop and garden weather stations sold under a distributor's own brand
- Vineyard and orchard monitoring where rain and wind affect spray timing
- Horticultural greenhouses needing real-time environmental data
- Marina and leisure facility monitoring for safety and maintenance
- Industrial sites with limited wiring access needing a battery-powered sensor
Who It Is For
- Consumer electronics brands adding a full weather station to an existing console
- Distributors replacing a sensor that failed after one winter due to battery drain
- Agricultural suppliers bundling environmental data with irrigation or climate control
- Integrators who need a battery-powered sensor because trenching is not feasible
Problems It Solves
- Sensors that report averaged wind data and miss critical gusts
- Separate units for each parameter increasing mounting complexity and failure points
- Battery-only sensors requiring frequent replacement in high-use or sunny areas
- RF links that fail beyond 30m in typical conditions, limiting site coverage
Technical Features
- Integrated sensor head measuring outdoor temperature, humidity, rain, wind speed and direction
- 433MHz one-way transmission every 16 seconds with 100m open area range
- Wind speed measured from 0 to 50 m/s with accuracy of plus or minus 0.3 m/s between 2 and 10 m/s
- Wind direction resolved across 0 to 360 degrees with accuracy of plus or minus 10 degrees
- Rain volume measured from 0 to 9999 mm with 0.3 mm resolution below 1000 mm
- Outdoor temperature sensing from -40 to +60 degrees C at plus or minus 0.3 degrees C accuracy
- Outdoor humidity sensing from 1 to 99 percent RH at plus or minus 3 percent accuracy

Materials and Construction
- Moulded plastic housing for the sensor body
- Integrated solar panel on the sensor top
- Weather sealed battery compartment sized for 3 x AA cells
How It Is Made
Sensor sub-assemblies are populated and soldered on our own assembly line
Housings are sealed and checked on rainfall and waterproof test equipment
Every unit is ageing tested before it leaves the factory
Quality Control
- Rainfall and waterproof testing on the assembled sensor
- Constant temperature and humidity chamber runs covering the -40 to +60 degrees C claim
- Vibration testing to reproduce mast and transport loading
- Smog ageing to check the housing and seals
- Final ageing test on every unit before packing
Customisation Options
- Own-label printing and retail packaging
- Console pairing to a customer's existing UCTECH-protocol display
- Alternative battery and solar configurations on request
- Manual and quick start guide in the destination language
Compared With the Alternatives
vs Separate temperature, humidity, rain, wind speed and wind direction sensors
One unit reduces mounting hardware and failure points, but limits the ability to place sensors at different locations
vs Wired sensors such as the FT019T
No cable run to plan, at the cost of a battery change and a 100m range ceiling
vs LoRa sensors in our FT0310 and FT0832 range
433MHz is cheaper and adequate for a single property; LoRa is the answer once the sensor sits across a field
Use Guide
- Mount the sensor clear of walls and roof edges, ideally 2m above the nearest obstruction
- Align the direction marking to true north before tightening the mast clamp
- Fit 3 x AA lithium cells for sites that drop below freezing
- Pair with the console before the sensor goes up the mast
- Check the rain collector and clear debris at the start of each season
FT020T Weather Station Sensor-No UV Questions
What is the real range between the sensor and the console
100m in open air. Through walls, foliage and a roof, plan for around 30m, which covers a typical house and garden.
How often does it update
Every 16 seconds, which is short enough that gusts show up rather than being averaged out.
Does the solar panel charge the batteries
No. The panel supplies the sensor during daylight and the AA cells carry it through the night and dull weather, so cell life is much longer than a battery-only sensor.
Can it work with a console we already sell
If that console is on the UCTECH 433MHz protocol, yes. Send us the model and we will confirm before you order.
What is the lead time and minimum order
Tell us the quantity and target ship date and we will confirm both by email. Lead time depends on whether own-label printing and packaging are involved.
Which certifications does it carry
TBC. Ask us for the current certificate set for your destination market before you place the order.
