Outdoor sensors live a harder life than consoles. The head takes the rain, the frost, the UV and the vibration while the display sits indoors doing nothing difficult. So when something fails, it is usually the sensor, and replacing the whole system is the wrong answer for both you and your customer.
How It Runs Step by Step
Identify the Console
Send us the console model number, or a photo of the label. Everything else follows from that, because the sensor has to match the console protocol and frequency.
Confirm the Sensor Type
Integrated outdoor sensor, separate wind head, rain gauge, thermo-hygrometer or probe. Our range covers all of them across the RF and Wi-Fi platforms.
Check Compatibility in Writing
We confirm pairing before you order. Never assume a sensor from one platform works with a console from another, even when the connector and the housing look the same.
Order Spares in Quantity
Distributors carrying our consoles usually hold sensor spares, because a replacement head shipped in a small box is far cheaper than a returned system.
Field Replacement
Pair the new sensor at the console before it goes back up the mast, verify a stable reading, then mount. Same procedure as a first install.

Will a new sensor pair with an old console
Often yes within the same platform, but confirm it with us first. Send the console model number and we will answer in writing.
Do you supply sensors separately
Yes. The Sensors category lists the heads we supply on their own, including wind, rain, UV and thermo-hygrometer types.
How long do outdoor sensors last
It depends entirely on the site. A sheltered inland garden is a different job from an exposed coastal roof. We do not publish a figure we cannot stand behind.
What causes most sensor failures
Water ingress after a seal is disturbed, and dead cells in cold weather. Fit lithium cells below freezing and do not open a sealed head unless you have to.
Can we hold spares under our own brand
