What This Model Is For
The WS0102 WiFi Weather Station is a complete, self-contained system that measures outdoor temperature, humidity, wind speed and direction, barometric pressure, and rainfall, then transmits data to a base console via 433MHz RF and uploads real-time readings to HTTP webpages, Weather Underground, and WeatherCloud over 2.4GHz WiFi. The outdoor sensors operate on battery power with solar assist, and the console can be wall-mounted or placed on a desk. It supports manual calibration of all sensor readings and is designed for integration into own-label consumer electronics and instrument OEM product lines.
- All weather data from one outdoor sensor head: temperature, humidity, wind, pressure, and rain
- Real-time data upload to Weather Underground and WeatherCloud via 2.4GHz WiFi
- 433MHz RF transmission reaches 100m in open air, covering most residential properties
- Solar panel reduces battery drain but does not charge cells; batteries remain the primary power source
- Manual calibration allows fine-tuning of temperature, humidity, pressure, wind, and rainfall readings

Where It Is Used
- Home weather displays sold under a distributor’s own brand in Europe and North America
- Agricultural monitoring for irrigation decisions based on live wind and rainfall data
- Marina and poolside installations where wireless data access is needed without cabling
- HVAC and building services integrators adding real-time outdoor data to climate control systems
- Schools and visitor centres using live weather data in public displays
Who It Is For
- Consumer electronics brands launching an own-label weather station without an in-house RF or firmware team
- Distributors replacing a weather sensor that failed after one winter due to battery drain or RF dropouts
- Agricultural equipment suppliers bundling weather data with irrigation or climate control systems
- Integrators needing a battery-powered sensor for sites where trenching cable is not feasible
Problems It Solves
- Weather stations that require a wired connection to the console, limiting placement options
- Sensors that lose RF signal beyond 30m, especially through walls or foliage
- Battery-only sensors that need frequent replacement during summer months
- Data that is not live or not shared with cloud platforms, limiting remote access
- Inaccurate readings that cannot be manually corrected by the end user
Technical Features
- Outdoor sensor measures temperature, humidity, wind speed and direction, barometric pressure, and rainfall
- 433MHz RF transmission from outdoor sensors to the console every 16 seconds
- WiFi 802.11 b/g/n connection to upload data to HTTP webpages, Weather Underground, and WeatherCloud
- Solar panel provides auxiliary power but does not charge batteries
- Manual calibration available for all sensor readings including temperature, humidity, pressure, wind, and rainfall

Materials and Construction
- Moulded plastic housing for the outdoor sensor head
- Integrated solar panel on the sensor body
- Weather sealed battery compartment sized for 4 x AAA cells
How It Is Made
Outdoor sensor sub-assemblies are populated and soldered on our own assembly line
Wind and rain sensor heads are sealed and tested on rainfall and waterproof test equipment
Every unit undergoes final ageing test before packing
Console and sensor firmware are pre-programmed and tested before shipment
Quality Control
- Rainfall and waterproof testing on the assembled outdoor sensor
- Constant temperature and humidity chamber runs covering the -40 to +60 degrees C range
- Vibration testing to simulate transport and mast mounting loads
- Smog ageing to assess housing and seal durability
- Final ageing test on every unit before packing
Customisation Options
- Own-label printing and retail packaging
- Console pairing to a customer's existing UCTECH-protocol display
- Alternative battery and solar configurations on request
- Manual and quick start guide in the destination language
Compared With the Alternatives
vs Separate wind, rain, and thermo-hygrometer sensors
One integrated outdoor sensor reduces mounting hardware and failure points, but limits sensor placement flexibility
vs Wired weather stations
No cable run required, but RF range is limited to 100m in open air
vs LoRa-based sensors
433MHz is lower cost and sufficient for single-property use; LoRa is better for long-range or multi-site deployments
Use Guide
- Mount the outdoor sensor at least 2m above the nearest obstruction for accurate wind and rain readings
- Align the sensor’s direction marking to true north before securing the mast clamp
- Use lithium batteries in cold climates to maintain performance below freezing
- Pair the console with the outdoor sensors before mounting the sensor head
- Clear debris from the rain gauge and wind cups at the start of each season
WS0102 WiFi Weather Station Questions
What is the real range between the outdoor sensor and the console
100m in open air. Through walls, foliage, or a roof, expect around 30m, which covers most homes and gardens.
How often does the sensor update
Wind sensor updates every 16 seconds. Rain and thermo-hygrometer sensors update every 60 seconds.
Does the solar panel charge the batteries
No. The solar panel supplies power during daylight, but the AAA cells are the primary power source and carry the load at night and in low light.
Can it work with a console we already sell
If that console uses the UCTECH 433MHz protocol, yes. Send us the model number and we will confirm before you order.
What is the lead time and minimum order
Tell us the quantity and target ship date and we will confirm both by email. Lead time depends on whether own-label printing and packaging are involved.
Which certifications does it carry
TBC. Ask us for the current certificate set for your destination market before you place the order.
