What This Model Is For
The FT037W is a complete WiFi weather station with an integrated outdoor sensor that measures temperature, humidity, wind speed and direction, rainfall, barometric pressure, UV and sunlight levels, then transmits data to a console over 433MHz and uploads it to weather platforms via 2.4GHz WiFi. The console runs on three AAA batteries and the outdoor sensor on three AA batteries, with a solar panel providing auxiliary power to reduce battery drain. All data is displayed in real time with historical min/max records and alarm thresholds for indoor and outdoor conditions.
- Integrated outdoor sensor eliminates separate mast and wiring, reducing installation complexity
- 433MHz transmission reaches 100m in open air, covering most residential properties
- WiFi uploads real-time data to wunderground and weathercloud without a gateway
- Solar assist reduces battery consumption in daylight hours without charging the cells
- Manual calibration allows fine-tuning of temperature, humidity, pressure, wind and rainfall readings
Where It Is Used
- Home and garden weather stations sold under a retailer’s own brand
- Smart home integrations where weather data feeds into building automation systems
- Agricultural monitoring for greenhouses and small farms needing real-time environmental data
- Schools and visitor centres using live weather displays with forecast and UV alerts
- Remote cabins and cabins without wired internet where WiFi is the only connection
Who It Is For
- Consumer electronics brands launching an own-label weather station without an RF team
- Distributors replacing a weather station that failed after one season due to poor battery life
- Agricultural suppliers bundling environmental sensors with irrigation or climate control
- Integrators needing a battery-powered sensor that uploads to cloud platforms via WiFi
- Marine and leisure equipment brands adding weather data to boat or dock displays
Problems It Solves
- Weather stations that require a separate wired sensor and complex installation
- Sensors that fail after a single winter due to poor vibration or humidity resistance
- Data that is not uploaded to cloud platforms, limiting remote access and analytics
- Battery-only sensors that need replacement every few months in sunny conditions
- Console-only displays that lack real-time data upload or historical tracking
Technical Features
- Integrated outdoor sensor with 433MHz transmission to the console
- WiFi 2.4GHz connection for real-time data upload to wunderground and weathercloud
- Solar panel provides auxiliary power but does not charge the batteries
- All readings updated every 16 seconds, with 2-minute, 10-minute and 24-hour averages
- Barometric pressure, wind, rain, UV and sunlight data with high/low alarm thresholds
- Outdoor temperature and humidity measured with ±0.3°C and ±3% accuracy
- Wind speed measured from 0 to 50 m/s with ±0.3 m/s accuracy between 2 and 10 m/s
- Wind direction resolved across 0–360 degrees with ±10 degree accuracy
- Rainfall measured up to 9999 mm with 0.3 mm resolution below 1000 mm
- UV index and sunlight levels displayed in Lux, fc, and W/m² with ±15% accuracy

Materials and Construction
- Moulded plastic housing for the outdoor sensor
- Integrated solar panel on the sensor body
- Weather sealed battery compartment sized for 3 x AA cells
How It Is Made
Sensor sub-assemblies are populated and soldered on our own assembly line
Outdoor sensor housing is sealed and tested on rainfall and waterproof test equipment
Every unit undergoes final ageing testing before packing
Console and sensor are paired and tested on the 433MHz protocol before shipment
Quality Control
- Rainfall and waterproof testing on the assembled outdoor sensor
- Constant temperature and humidity chamber runs covering the -40 to +60 degrees C range
- Vibration testing to simulate transport and mast loading
- Smog ageing to verify housing and seal integrity
- Final ageing test on every unit before packing
Customisation Options
- Own-label printing and retail packaging
- Console firmware configured to match a customer’s existing display protocol
- Alternative battery types (lithium or alkaline) on request
- Manual and quick start guide in the destination language
Compared With the Alternatives
vs Separate indoor console and outdoor sensor with 433MHz link
One integrated unit reduces mast hardware and cabling, but limits sensor placement flexibility
vs Wired weather station with RS485 or USB connection
No cable run required, but the sensor is limited to 100m range and requires battery power
vs LoRa-based weather station
433MHz is simpler and lower cost for a single property; LoRa is better for large sites with multiple sensors
Use Guide
- Mount the outdoor sensor clear of obstructions, ideally 2m above ground
- Align the sensor direction marking to true north before securing the mast
- Use lithium batteries for sites that drop below freezing
- Pair the sensor with the console before mounting it on the mast
- Check the wind cups and rain collector for debris at the start of each season
FT037W WiFi Weather Station Questions
What is the real range between the sensor and the console
100m in open air. Through walls, foliage and a roof, plan for around 30m, which covers a typical house and garden.
How often does it update
Every 16 seconds, which is short enough that gusts and rapid changes show up rather than being averaged out.
Does the solar panel charge the batteries
No. The panel supplies power during daylight and reduces battery drain, but the batteries remain the primary power source.
Can it work with a console we already sell
If that console is on the UCTECH 433MHz protocol, yes. Send us the model and we will confirm before you order.
What is the lead time and minimum order
Tell us the quantity and target ship date and we will confirm both by email. Lead time depends on whether own-label printing and packaging are involved.
Which certifications does it carry
TBC. Ask us for the current certificate set for your destination market before you place the order.
