Solution

Retail Campaign Print Programme

Many versions, small quantities each, one fixed launch date

Overview

Why This Matters

A campaign is not one print job, it is thirty small ones that all have to match and all have to arrive together. The way to run it is to treat the whole set as a single production plan rather than a queue of separate orders.

In Detail

What Happens Step By Step

  1. 1

    List Every Item First

Poster, ticket, shelf strip, dangler, catalogue. One list, one job, one colour reference.

  2. 2

    Agree The Sizes Early

Signage is printed to the fixture. The recommended size chart covers Letter through B2, and any size is available.

  3. 3

    Split Offset And Digital Sensibly

High quantity versions go offset, low quantity versions go digital, and both work from the same artwork.

  4. 4

    Hold One Colour Reference

Colour is controlled with an X-Rite densitometer so the poster and the shelf ticket read as one campaign.

  5. 5

    Pack By Store

Store level packing removes a sorting job at your distribution centre.

  6. 6

    Build In The Lead Time

This line quotes 5 to 7 days, and 5 to 15 working days after file confirmation and deposit for larger jobs. Work backwards from the launch date.
