What This Product Is
A paper bag is the last piece of packaging a shopper touches and the first piece they carry through the street. It has to hold the weight, keep its shape, and print cleanly. Ours are produced on automatic bag making machines from 30 to 160 gsm stock in brown kraft, white kraft, art paper, ivory board, duplex board and specialty papers, with the option to supply your own paper.
Printing is done with eco friendly water based soy ink in CMYK or Pantone up to ten colours, then finished with lamination, hot stamping, embossing, UV coating, foil or hologram effects. Handles can be twisted, flat, ribbon, PP rope, cotton, nylon, die cut or fully custom.

Material Options And What Each One Is For
Brown Kraft Paper
The default for grocery, bakery and eco led retail. Strong for its weight, takes reverse printing well, shows the fibre.
White Kraft Paper
Same strength family as brown kraft with a bleached surface, so photographic and light colour artwork reproduces cleanly.
Art Paper
Coated stock for the highest print fidelity. Usually laminated, used where the bag carries photography or heavy solid colour.
Ivory Board And Duplex Board
Heavier boards for structured, squarer bags in gifting and cosmetics.
Specialty Paper
Textured, pearlised and coloured stocks used with foil and embossing where the paper itself is part of the design.

Prepress And Die Line
Artwork is imposed against the bag die line, colours are separated and the proof is issued.

Offset or flexo printing in CMYK and Pantone with water based soy ink.

Die Cutting And Creasing
Sheets are die cut and creased so the gusset and bottom fold land in the same place every time.

Use Guide
Specifying It Well
- Choose the paper weight against the load, not the look. Light apparel and gifts sit comfortably at the lower end of the 30 to 160 gsm range, glass and bottles need the upper end plus a reinforced bottom.
- Pick the handle before the artwork. Twisted handles need a patch area that eats into the top of the print, die cut handles cut a hole through it. Fixing this at die line stage saves a reprint.
- If the bag will be laminated, allow for the colour shift. Matt lamination pulls saturation down and glossy pushes it up, so approve the proof on the laminated stock, not on plain paper.
- Reverse type under 6 pt on uncoated kraft will fill in. Keep small type positive, or move it to a coated panel.
- Store bags flat and dry. Kraft picks up moisture, and a damp bundle will not run through a bagging station cleanly.
