What This Model Is For
The FT036A RF Weather Station is a complete, self-contained system with an integrated outdoor sensor that measures temperature, humidity, wind speed and direction, barometric pressure, rainfall, and dew point. It transmits data every 16 seconds over a 433MHz link up to 100m in open air, and uses solar assist to extend battery life. The console displays time, date, weather forecast, moon phase, and historical min/max data, all with adjustable backlighting. It is designed for brands that need a full weather station without developing their own RF or firmware stack.
- Integrated outdoor sensor with solar assist reduces battery drain and extends service life
- 16 second transmission interval ensures live wind gusts and rainfall events are captured
- 433MHz RF link reaches 100m in open air without a gateway or cabling
- All key weather metrics are displayed on a single console with alarm functions
- Solar panel supplements power but does not charge batteries, preserving cell life

Where It Is Used
- Rooftop and garden weather stations sold under a distributor's own brand
- Vineyard and orchard monitoring where real-time rainfall and wind data inform spray decisions
- Marina and leisure facility displays for boaters and pool operators
- School and visitor centre installations needing a low-maintenance weather display
- HVAC and building services projects requiring indoor and outdoor environmental data
Who It Is For
- Consumer electronics brands launching an own-label weather station without an RF team
- Distributors replacing a weather sensor that failed after one winter due to battery drain
- Agricultural suppliers bundling weather data with irrigation or climate control systems
- Integrators who need a battery-powered sensor because trenching cable is not feasible
Problems It Solves
- Weather stations that report averaged wind or rainfall data, missing critical events
- Separate indoor and outdoor units that require two mounting points and two RF links
- Battery-only sensors that need frequent replacement in sunny or high-use environments
- RF links that fail beyond 30m, limiting placement to within sight of the console

Materials and Construction
- Moulded plastic housing for the outdoor sensor body
- Integrated solar panel on the outdoor sensor top
- Weather sealed battery compartment sized for 3 x AA cells
How It Is Made
Sensor sub-assemblies are populated and soldered on our own assembly line
Outdoor sensor housing is sealed and tested on rainfall and waterproof test equipment
Console and sensor are paired and tested before final packaging
Every unit undergoes a final ageing test before leaving the factory
Quality Control
- Rainfall and waterproof testing on the assembled outdoor sensor
- Constant temperature and humidity chamber runs to verify -40 to +60 degrees C performance
- Vibration testing to simulate transport and mast mounting stress
- Smog ageing to assess housing and seal durability
- Final ageing test on every unit before packing
Customisation Options
- Own-label printing and retail packaging
- Console firmware configured to match a customer's existing UCTECH-protocol display
- Alternative battery and solar configurations on request
- Manual and quick start guide in the destination language
Compared With the Alternatives
vs Separate indoor and outdoor units with two RF links
One integrated sensor reduces mounting points and eliminates RF link failure between two units
vs Wired weather stations with cable runs to the sensor
No trenching or cabling needed, but with a 100m range ceiling and battery dependency
vs LoRa-based weather stations in the FT0310 and FT0832 range
433MHz is lower cost and sufficient for single-site use; LoRa is better for large fields or multiple sensors
Use Guide
- Mount the outdoor sensor clear of walls and roof edges, ideally 2m above the nearest obstruction
- Align the direction marking to true north before tightening the mast clamp
- Fit 3 x AA lithium cells for sites that drop below freezing
- Pair the console with the sensor before mounting the sensor on the mast
- Check the sensor housing and clear debris at the start of each season
FT036A RF Weather Station Questions
What is the real range between the sensor and the console
100m in open air. Through walls, foliage and a roof, plan for around 30m, which covers a typical house and garden.
How often does it update
Every 16 seconds, which is short enough that gusts and rainfall bursts show up rather than being averaged out.
Does the solar panel charge the batteries
No. The panel supplies power during daylight and the AA cells carry the sensor through the night and dull weather, so cell life is much longer than a battery-only sensor.
Can it work with a console we already sell
If that console is on the UCTECH 433MHz protocol, yes. Send us the model and we will confirm before you order.
What is the lead time and minimum order
Tell us the quantity and target ship date and we will confirm both by email. Lead time depends on whether own-label printing and packaging are involved.
Which certifications does it carry
TBC. Ask us for the current certificate set for your destination market before you place the order.
