Product Overview

What This Model Is For

The FT0350 RF Weather Station is a complete, integrated system with a console and a single outdoor sensor that measures temperature, humidity, wind speed and direction, barometric pressure, rainfall, and weather forecast. It transmits data every 16 seconds over a 433MHz link with a range of up to 100m in open air, making it suitable for residential and small commercial sites without cabling. The outdoor sensor uses solar assist to extend battery life, with three AAA cells providing backup during low-light periods. The system supports manual calibration and displays both indoor and outdoor conditions with high and low alarms for all key parameters.

  • One outdoor sensor with integrated solar panel reduces battery drain and extends operational life
  • 433MHz transmission reaches 100m in open air without a gateway or site wiring
  • 16 second update interval captures real-time changes in wind and rain, not averaged data
  • All sensor data is displayed on a single console with alarm thresholds for temperature, humidity, pressure, wind, and rainfall
  • Manual calibration allows fine-tuning for site-specific accuracy without firmware changes

Application Scenarios

Where It Is Used

  • Rooftop and garden weather stations for consumer brands with own-label requirements
  • Small farms and greenhouses needing real-time wind and rainfall data without wired sensors
  • Retail and distributor displays in Europe and North America with a compact, self-contained unit
  • Building services and HVAC integrators installing a low-maintenance monitoring point
  • Marine and leisure applications where battery life and weather resistance are critical
Buyers

Who It Is For

  • Consumer electronics brands launching a weather station without an in-house RF or firmware team
  • Distributors replacing a sensor that failed after one winter due to poor battery or RF performance
  • Agricultural suppliers bundling weather data with irrigation or climate control systems
  • Integrators needing a battery-powered sensor where trenching or cabling is not feasible
  • Horticultural and cold chain operators monitoring microclimate conditions in storage or greenhouses
Pain Points

Problems It Solves

  • Sensors that fail after one season due to battery drain or poor RF range
  • Weather stations that report averaged wind or rain data, missing short-term events
  • Separate indoor and outdoor units that require individual calibration and maintenance
  • Systems that need a wired connection or gateway for basic operation
  • Console-only displays that lack real-time wind and rainfall updates

Build

Materials and Construction

  • Moulded plastic housing for the outdoor sensor
  • Integrated solar panel on the sensor body
  • Weather sealed battery compartment sized for 3 x AA cells
Manufacturing

How It Is Made

Step 01

Outdoor sensor sub-assemblies are populated and soldered on our own assembly line

Step 02

Housings are sealed and checked on rainfall and waterproof test equipment

Step 03

Every unit is ageing tested before it leaves the factory

Step 04

Console and sensor are paired and tested together before packaging

Testing

Quality Control

  • Rainfall and waterproof testing on the assembled outdoor sensor
  • Constant temperature and humidity chamber runs covering the -40 to +60 degrees C range
  • Vibration testing to simulate transport and mast mounting stress
  • Smog ageing to verify housing and seal integrity
  • Final ageing test on every unit before packing
Own Label

Customisation Options

  • Own-label printing and retail packaging on request
  • Console firmware adapted to match a customer’s existing protocol
  • Alternative battery types (lithium or alkaline) specified at order time
  • Manual and quick start guide in the destination language
Honest Comparison

Compared With the Alternatives

vs Separate indoor console and outdoor sensor units

One integrated sensor reduces mounting complexity and failure points, but limits the ability to place sensor and display apart

vs Wired weather stations

No cable run required, but range is limited to 100m and installation is simpler than trenching

vs LoRa-based sensors

433MHz is lower cost and sufficient for a single property; LoRa is better for large sites or multiple sensors

Installation

Use Guide

  • Mount the outdoor sensor clear of walls and obstructions, ideally 2m above ground
  • Align the sensor’s direction marking to true north before securing the mast
  • Use lithium batteries for sites that drop below freezing
  • Pair the sensor with the console before mounting it on the mast
  • Check the solar panel and battery compartment for debris at the start of each season

FT0350 RF Weather Station Questions

What is the real range between the sensor and the console

100m in open air. Through walls, foliage, or a roof, plan for around 30m, which covers a typical house and garden.

How often does it update

Every 16 seconds, which is short enough to capture gusts and rain bursts without averaging them out.

Does the solar panel charge the batteries

No. The solar panel supplies power during daylight, and the AAA batteries provide backup at night and in low light. It extends battery life but does not charge them.

Can it work with a console we already sell

If your console uses the UCTECH 433MHz protocol, yes. Send us the model number and we will confirm compatibility before you order.

What is the lead time and minimum order

Tell us the quantity and target ship date and we will confirm both by email. Lead time depends on whether own-label printing and packaging are involved.

Which certifications does it carry

TBC. Ask us for the current certificate set for your destination market before you place the order.
