Batch Size Analysis
Two heads for small batch board routing four heads for general production and six heads for volume batch output. The accuracy class is the same across all three.
Panel Format
The processing area is matched to the panel you run. 680mm by 730mm on R12 520mm by 650mm on R14 and 580mm by 730mm on R16 with a wider and longer table available as a customized model.
Spindle and Drive Choice
Routing machines prefer ball bearing spindles for torque. One motor can serve one or multiple spindles which keeps the machine cost effective because routing does not need high speed.
Cut Depth and Alignment
Depth control is specified where the cut must not go through the board. A CCD camera is specified where the cut must reference features already on the board.
Auto Pin Insert
The patented auto pin insert function removes the manual pinning step. It improves work efficiency and reduces operator work intensity.
Tooling Supply
Milling cutters from φ0.6mm to φ6.35mm collets and the vacuum and pressure foot setup are confirmed together with the machine.
Dust and Vacuum
The vacuum system is important to keep the machine running and is treated as part of the installation not an accessory.
Trial Run and Handover
The machine is run in testing before shipment and the maintenance schedule is handed over at installation.

What holds the board during routing
An air supply fix device to tighten the workpiece is the handy option. Table movement can be by air or by ball screw drive and each has a different wear and energy profile.
