Cordierite DPF Substrate

An economic porous wall flow type ceramic filter made from modified cordierite (2MgO-Al2O3-5SiO2) for diesel particulate matter removal.

Cordierite DPF Substrate

Product Overview

An economic porous wall flow type ceramic filter is also available for diesel particulate matter removal called diesel particulate filter. Such a ceramic filter is made from modified cordierite (2MgO-Al2O3-5SiO2). Current our DPF series has both 100 and 200 cpsi option and size is from 1.0 liters to 43 liters.

PRUITING® DPFs enable highly efficient particulate matter trap systems by offering:

  • Low thermal expansion
  • High filter specific surface area
  • Low pressure drop
  • Long-term durability performance
  • High soot removal: >95%
  • Excellent thermal shock resistance

Key Benefits

Who It Is For

Buyers Who Specify This Product

  • Diesel engine and vehicle manufacturers fitting particulate traps
  • Retrofit and aftermarket programmes that need volumes from 1.0 to 43 liters
  • System integrators needing round, oval or racetrack filter bodies

Problems It Solves

What It Fixes in the Exhaust Line

  • Diesel particulate matter that must be trapped to meet the emission limit
  • Filter cracking under thermal shock during regeneration
  • Pressure drop across the filter that penalises engine performance

Quality And Supply

Quality Control Certification and Customisation

Quality Control and Certification

PRT achieved ISO/TS16949:2009 certification in 2009. All products are made in high quality and are completely inspected during manufacturing.

Research and Development

Pruiting has its own independent research laboratory and invests every year in catalyst technology and ceramic technology. An established new product development process is applied from the initial stage of development to shorten the development cycle and avoid errors.

Customisation Options

We work hand-in-hand with our customers to develop bespoke technical solutions. Send the engine displacement, target emission standard and installation envelope by email and our engineers will confirm the matching specification.

How to Order

  1. Send the engine displacement or flue gas duty, the target emission standard and the installation envelope.
  2. Our engineers confirm the matching dimension, cell density and material from the specification table.
  3. You receive a written quotation. Samples and drawings are handled by email.

FAQ

Cordierite DPF Substrate FAQ

What is the filter made from?

It is a porous wall flow type ceramic filter made from modified cordierite (2MgO-Al2O3-5SiO2).

Which cell densities and sizes are available?

The DPF series has both 100 and 200 CPSI options, and size is from 1.0 liters to 43 liters.

What soot removal can be expected?

The published performance for our cordierite DPFs is high soot removal above 95 percent.

Which shapes are listed?

The specification table covers round, oval and racetrack bodies, with volume given in liters for each dimension.

What is the difference between cordierite and SiC DPF?

The cordierite filter is the economic wall flow option. The SiC diesel particulate filter is a separate PRT product with carbon particulate filtration efficiency of more than 90 percent.
