The Challenge

Fascia lettering on an existing shop front, where the return depth is set by the frame that is already on the building and cannot be changed to suit the module.

Customer Pain Points

The return is shallower than the depth band of a standard module
The strokes on some characters are too narrow for a full-size body
The run is long enough that one feed point would dim the far end
The face has to read evenly from the pavement, not from across the road

What Was Specified

Depth bands decide this one. The mini range publishes 30 to 50 mm, which is the band a shallow fascia return usually falls in, and the 1208B at 12 x 8 x 8.5 mm passes into strokes the wider bodies cannot enter. Where the return allows 25 mm or more of clearance, the 2618B brings 120 lm per piece at 170 lm/W into the same job.

The Result

With the module chosen inside its published depth band, the face lights without the module pattern showing through it. The mini models publish 50 modules single-ended and 100 double-ended, so a long fascia needs fewer feed points than the full-size range would.
