How an OEM charger order runs, step by step

A private-label charger order is mostly a sequence of decisions, each of which closes off the ones after it. Here is the order they come in, and where the time goes.

1. Brief

Four variables decide the model: wattage target, port mix, plug region and volume. A fifth — timeline — decides whether a custom build is realistic or whether you should start from a stock model. Send those five and we come back with model picks, indicative pricing and lead time, usually within 24 hours.

2. Choose the customisation depth

The two tiers matter because they set both MOQ and lead time:

• Stock spec with branding — logo, silk-screen, colour, packaging. MOQ 500 units on chargers, 1,000 on power banks. Lead time 22–25 days for chargers, 25–30 days for power banks from sample sign-off.
• Full custom — bespoke port configuration, tuned PD curve, new tooling, PCB redesign. MOQ 1,000 units on chargers, 3,000 on power banks for custom logo or colour. Lead time 40–45 days, longer if fresh certification is in scope.

3. Samples

Sample lead time is typically 7–10 days. The sample fee is fully refundable against your first production order. International courier goes on your account or ours by agreement. Do not skip this step on a custom build — sample sign-off is the point where the port map and the PD curve become fixed.

4. Packaging and documentation

We have in-house structural and graphic design support, so retail box, instruction manual, warranty insert and barcode artwork can all be produced to your specification rather than sourced separately. Brown box is the default if you are shipping to a distributor who repacks.

5. Production, QC and payment

Production runs against the four-checkpoint QC sequence, ending in a 3% AQL pre-shipment audit. Payment is 30% T/T deposit on order confirmation with the balance against B/L copy. Trade Assurance and L/C terms are available on volume orders.

6. Visit, if it is a large programme

We host buyer visits and third-party audits at the Bao'an factory, twenty minutes from Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport. For a first large programme it is worth the trip — walking the aging bench tells you more than a document pack does.
