A solar livestock watering system uses photovoltaic generation to drive intelligent pumps, removing the dependence on diesel generators and the grid entirely and delivering all-weather automated water supply.

Typical deployments are seasonal supply for grassland pastures, remote supply for mountain farms, emergency supply in arid areas, and animal drinking points in ecological protection areas. Demonstration projects in the Sahel region of Africa and the Mongolian grasslands have shown livestock survival rates improving by more than 15% while ranch operating costs fall significantly.
