Retail Packaging and Merchandising

Packaging is not decoration in this category, it is the fixture. A blister card decides whether the product hangs, a colour box decides whether it stacks, and both decide what the carton costs to ship.

Stage By Stage

The Sequence We Actually Run

Each stage names the problem first and then what we do about it. If a stage does not apply to your programme we say so rather than billing for it.

  1. Format Selection

Products end up in whatever pack the factory already had tooling for.

Five formats are produced here: blister card, double blister, colour box, tie on card and plastic shrink. Each product page states which one that model uses.

  2. Peg Wall Planning

Mixed card sizes turn a peg wall into a patchwork.

Most of the fitting and gun range shares the blister card format, so a wall built from those two families hangs at consistent heights.

  3. Long Product Handling

Wands and telescopic tubes do not fit a standard peg or a standard carton.

Tie on card presentation with dedicated long cartons around 96 cm, published per model.

  4. Bulky Item Presentation

Reels and carts eat shelf metres and CBM at the same time.

Colour box packing with published carton dimensions from 0.07 to 0.109 CBM so shelf plan and container plan are decided from the same number.

  5. Artwork

Artwork tooling is an unbudgeted cost late in the programme.

Card dimensions and barcode requirements are quoted alongside the product rather than after approval.

  6. Carton Data

Approximate carton data becomes a freight problem at the port.

Carton size, pieces per carton, CBM and net and gross weight are published for 93 of the 96 models and are the figures we ship against.

Questions Buyers Ask

Retail Packaging and Merchandising Questions

Which pack formats do you produce?

Blister card, double blister, colour box, tie on card and plastic shrink. The format for each model is printed on its product page.

Can we use our own card artwork?

Yes, that is the normal route for a private label programme. Send card dimensions and barcode data and we will quote the tooling with the product.

Why does the carton data matter so much?

Because it is the only input to your landed cost that you can check before you order. We publish carton size, quantity, CBM and net and gross weight so you can calculate rather than estimate.
