The two ways to buy
The same spun polyester yarn is sold raw white on paper cones or dye tubes, or dyed at the mill on plastic dye tubes. The yarn is identical. What differs is who carries the colour risk and the stock.
The case for raw white
Raw white means one stock item. You dye to the order you actually have, not to the colours you guessed at six months ago. MOQ for raw white is 10 tons, and loading is 8-10 tons per 20GP or 20-25 tons per 40HQ.
The case for dyed at the mill
If you do not run a dye house, mill dyeing removes a handover. The yarn is spun and dyed in the same plant, so a shade complaint has one owner. MOQ is also 10 tons, with loading at 8.5-9 tons per 20GP or 20-24 tons per 40HQ.
The finished thread option
If you do not want yarn at all, finished sewing thread ships on small cones, 12 cones per box and 10 boxes per carton, with a lower MOQ of 500 kg for black and white and 200 kg for other colours.
