What Knock Down Means
A knock down tree ships as separate trunk, branch and foliage assemblies and is put together on site without tools.
Assembled trees ship at their full canopy volume, which is mostly air.
Reading The Carton Data
Every model in the range publishes carton length, width and height in centimetres, a CBM per carton figure, pieces per carton and pieces per 40 foot high cube container.
Compare the pieces per high cube figure rather than the carton size. That single number is what decides freight cost per tree.
Where The Savings Are Largest
The saving grows with height. Tall palms and tall lemon trees benefit most, because their assembled canopy volume is the largest in the range.
Small potted models are already efficient assembled, so knock down construction adds handling for little gain.
Assembly Time On Site
Budget a few minutes per unit. Fronds and branches locate onto collars on the trunk and are rotated by hand until the canopy sits level.
