How To Choose Artificial Tree Height For An Interior Scheme
Finished height is the single specification that decides whether a tree looks right in a room. This guide sets out how to pick it.
Start From The Ceiling Not The Tree
Work back from the ceiling height, not from a photograph. As a rule of thumb a floor standing tree that reads correctly occupies roughly two thirds to three quarters of the wall height behind it.

Match Height To The Sight Line
In a seated space such as a restaurant or a lounge, a tree between 120 cm and 160 cm sits in the eye line of people sitting down.
In a circulation space such as a lobby or a corridor, choose 180 cm and above so the canopy sits above head height and does not get brushed.
Check The Access Route Before The Room
The tree has to reach the room. Measure the service lift, the doorway and any turn on the route.
Where the route is tight, specify a knock down model. A 250 cm knock down queen palm ships in a 140 cm carton and assembles in position.
