Can a wafer butterfly valve be used at the end of a pipe run?

No. A wafer body has to clamp between two pipe flanges. For dead-end or end-of-line service specify the lug type body, which carries threaded lugs so one side can be removed under pressure.

Which seat should I choose for my medium?

Resilient seats suit clean and raw water and general service. PTFE seats and coated discs are used where the medium attacks rubber. Send the medium temperature and concentration and we confirm the seat.
