Packing And Labelling for Legging Imports
What has to be decided before production so a shipment can be sold on arrival rather than repacked.
Individual Bagging Is Not Optional
Leggings are shipped one garment per OPP bag as standard. It is not only about presentation: coated and printed faces rub against each other in a carton, and a creased garment cannot go straight onto a floor. If you need retail polybags with your own artwork instead, that is decided before production, not after.
Labels Belong To The Destination Market
Care, composition and size labelling has to satisfy the market you are importing into, and that is the buyer's specification to give. Send the exact wording, language and format you need with the order rather than asking for a standard label and correcting it later.
Ratios Are A Commercial Decision
Carton ratios should follow how you actually sell, not a default assortment. Send a packing list with the size and colour split per carton. A buyer who does this once gets predictable receiving for every repeat order.
Carton Marks And Barcodes
Carton marking should match what your warehouse scans. Supply the mark artwork and the barcode range with the order. Barcodes applied in production cost nothing extra to apply; barcodes applied in your own warehouse cost a person a day.
Inspection Before The Container Leaves
Book a third-party inspection before shipment if the order matters. The inspection should compare bulk against your approved sample and check bagging, ratios and carton marks, because those are the failures that are expensive to fix after landing.
