Bagging

Each piece goes into a poly bag. This is the single most effective step against scratching, because plated and metallized surfaces mark when parts rub in a moving carton.

Cartoning

Sets are counted into cartons against the pack list. Carton data is published per model, for example ten sets per carton at 60 x 45 x 39 cm on some corner sets.

Bars packed separately

Steel bars are packed on their own. Loose bars in a carton of mouldings will mark the finish before the container reaches port.

Knock down items

Knock down casket parts are packed flat, and loading quantities are published for several models so container planning can be done in advance.

On arrival

Open one carton from each model first, check finish and count against the pack list, and photograph anything wrong before the rest is moved into stock.
