Food And Drink Brands Questions
Our design is full-colour photographic. Can that go on cotton?
Yes. Photographic and gradient artwork is handled with a transfer or digital process rather than spot screen printing. Screen printing is used where the design is flat colour, because it gives a stronger hand feel and a lower unit cost.
Can one order cover several language versions?
Yes, provided the base bag is the same. Each version is a separate print set-up but the fabric, cutting and sewing run together, which keeps the cost difference to the set-up rather than to the whole bag.
Will the print survive being washed?
A correctly cured screen print on cotton survives normal domestic washing. Fine detail, metallic and photographic effects are less durable by nature. If washing matters, say so before the sample stage so the method is chosen for it.
