What Happens At Each Stage
Each stage names the problem buyers actually hit, then what MEP Power does about it.
Identify
The engine on the machine is often not the engine in the manual.
Send the serial number or a photograph of the nameplate. MEP Power checks it against the Cummins configuration before anything is quoted.
Specify
Two engines with the same rating can have different housings and drives.
The published specification table for each engine gives net weight, envelope, flywheel housing data, electrical system and cooling method for the installation check.
Quote
Genuine, OEM and rebuilt units are rarely compared on the same basis.
Genuine and OEM options are quoted side by side so the choice is made on budget and duty, not on wording.
Inspect
Nobody wants to discover a problem after the crate is opened.
The inspection team checks the engine and records engine, configuration and serial numbers with photographs before dispatch.
Ship
Freight is where a tight repower schedule usually slips.
Sea, air or express shipment is arranged by MEP Power, or handed to your own forwarder, with export packing and documentation prepared.
Support
The first hours after commissioning decide the life of the engine.
New genuine and OEM engines carry one year or 1000 hours of warranty; parts and repair cost for quality faults are covered inside that period.
