Every Pendants We Publish

Pendants split cleanly into two kinds of work here. One is mounting a stone nobody at the bench chose: a carved jadeite squirrel or an oval cabochon arrives finished, and the mount has to be drawn around it, gripping where the carver left material solid and leaving the back open so daylight still gets through. The other is pave over a compound curve, where the stone rows have to close down as the form tapers without the bead work going ragged.

None of this material can be ordered to a size. A carving arrives finished, a cabochon is hand cut, a bangle is whatever the rough allowed, and a pearl is drilled exactly once. The mount has to be drawn around what exists rather than the stone being adjusted to a standard seat.

Can I send my own stone or carving?
Yes. Send photographs from four sides and the measured dimensions. The mount is drawn from those before the stone ships.
Why keep the diamond work small around a carving?
Because a carving is bought for the carving. Heavy pave around it reads as two subjects competing, and it puts metal where light should reach the stone.
How do you price a pave piece?
Stone quality carries most of the cost on dense pave. Moving a grade changes the invoice far more than changing the metal does.
What chain comes with a pendant?
Chain is quoted with the pendant and rated to its weight. Give the length you want.
