Where Orders Go Wrong and What We Do About It
Artwork Review
The problem. Files arrive as logos, photos, scans or hand drawings, and half of them cannot be moulded as drawn.
How we handle it. We redraw the design as clean line art, mark where colour walls are needed and send it back before anything is cut.
Quotation
The problem. A quote that hides tooling in the unit price makes it impossible to compare quantities.
How we handle it. Tooling, unit price and packing are quoted separately, so you can see what changes when the quantity changes.
Mould Making
The problem. A mould cut from an unchecked drawing is the most expensive mistake in this trade.
How we handle it. The mould is engraved from the approved line art and proofed against it before any production material is loaded.
Sampling
The problem. Colour and finish arguments are impossible to settle over email.
How we handle it. A physical sample goes out in 8 to 10 days. Once you sign it, it becomes the reference for the whole run.
Production
The problem. Between approval and shipping, most buyers hear nothing.
How we handle it. The run takes 12 to 20 days and we answer email within 24 hours while it is on the floor.
Colour and Finish
The problem. Enamel and PVC colour drift if the paste is mixed batch by batch from memory.
How we handle it. Paste is mixed to the Pantone reference and compared to the signed sample under daylight.
Inspection
The problem. A shipment nobody opened is a shipment nobody checked.
How we handle it. We take 100 percent inspection before shipping, checking colour, fitting and attachment.
Packing and Despatch
The problem. Merchandise that arrives loose in a carton cannot go straight into a conference bag.
How we handle it. Polybags, backer cards, pouches and boxes are packed to your spec, then the shipping mode you choose sets the delivery date.

The practical questions about this way of working.
What file format should I send?
Vector AI, EPS, PDF or SVG is ideal. A high resolution JPG or PNG works too because we redraw it as line art before tooling.
How many rounds of proofing are included?
The line art proof and the mould proof are both included before the sample stage.
When is tooling charged?
Once per shape, before the mould is cut. A repeat order using the same mould skips it.
