Material and plating selection
Conductor metal and plating chosen for the assembly process and service environment, not for a headline conductivity figure.
The conductor metal is chosen for the electrical target and the mechanical one together. The plating is chosen for what happens to the conductor afterwards: how many times it will be soldered, what temperature it will see, what environment it sits in.
Both are specified explicitly in a quotation, including plating thickness, because on a fine conductor the plating is a meaningful fraction of the cross section and an unspecified thickness is a variable the customer has not agreed to.
