Tinsel wire
Copper foil wound over a textile core, from 0.04 to 0.40 mm, for conductors that have to bend constantly without work hardening.
A solid copper wire work hardens where it bends and eventually snaps. Tinsel construction moves the bending strain into a textile core and lets the copper follow it as a thin foil, which is why it survives flex counts a drawn wire cannot approach.
Because the copper is a foil rather than a drawn strand, resistance and diameter can be adjusted almost independently. Tell us the resistance and the outer diameter you need and we will work out the foil width and lay that gets both.
