The interior has to match the protocol your crews are trained on, which makes the equipment list the starting point rather than the vehicle.
An ambulance specification starts with the equipment list, not the chassis. Stretcher type and mount, oxygen storage and outlet positions, monitor mounting, suction, lighting and seating all follow from what the crews carry and how they are trained to work.
Patient transport and intensive care conversions are different vehicles inside the same body. A transport conversion prioritises access and securing; an intensive care conversion prioritises working space around the patient's head and torso, which changes where the seats and cabinets go.
We agree the interior in drawing form before production and photograph the finished conversion before it ships, because an interior that does not match the protocol is fought against rather than used.
