Luer fittings and connectors
Luer connectors, tips and stopcocks moulded to the taper tolerance that decides whether a connection leaks under pressure.
A luer connection works because two tapers agree. If either side drifts by a few hundredths of a millimetre the joint either leaks or will not release, and both failures reach the clinician rather than the production line.
